24-Hour Prayer Vigil
     September 13, 2008

"And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more
and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may
be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until
the day of Christ" (Philippians 1:27)

Please join with members of First Church on this day of prayer for the grace and guidance of our Lord concerning the needs and ministries of our congregation. Prayer stations will be set up in Rooms 204 and 205 within the church from 8 a.m. on September 13 to 8 a.m. on September 14. Prayer walks and gatherings outside the church will also be conducted. Weekly focus prayers will be included in worship service bulletins. You may sign up for a time slot on the prayer vigil posters located at the Welcome Center, in the Fellowship Hall, and on bulletin boards across from the music and youth rooms. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact Lynn Francis or Dan Bruce.

Please consider taking time to pray with friends, family, or members of your Sunday School class or church committee, at the church, or at home on this special day. Thank you!

"Be always rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, and
continuing steadfastly in prayer." Romans 12: 12
