Bible Stories for Grownups: Readings from the Hebrew Writings
Led by Craig Fasnacht, meets on second floor, Upper Overflow
We will go through the rest of 1st and 2nd Kings as we follow Israel and Judah heading toward the Exile. Once there, we will spend time in the Writings of the Hebrew scriptures. This material arose from the ashes of the Exile, and it includes some of the most provocative and engaging texts in the Bible—books such as Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Esther, Ruth, and even Psalms. Class format is one of open and honest discussion. We read a passage and then spend some time pondering it, looking for both its meaning and relevance to our lives as Christians. Questions and insights are both necessary and encouraged in order to allow the Spirit to speak to and through all of us. New friends are always welcome! Contact Craig Fasnacht, 534-1834, to find out more.

When to say YES, when to say NO to take control of your life!
Come join us as we read and discuss the book Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend. Boundaries addresses specific issues that confront today's Christians such as living a life out of control, having people take advantage of us, having trouble saying no, being disappointed with God because of unanswered prayers and many more vital issues! This study is for adults of all ages. Seeds, Sprouts, Cherub Choir and child care will be available. To register, call the church office, 533-9668, or download the registration form.
