Flood Buckets - September 2, 2007 (Photos by Bill Fraley) 

The fourth and fifth grade Sunday school classes participated in Mission Central's Flood Bucket Decorating Contest. Their buckets were on display on September 2, 2007 for Sunday services. Parishoners voted for their favorite flood bucket by dropping a dollar inside their favorite one. The buckets will be on display at Mission Central until September 22 where visitors will also be able to vote for their favorite bucket. There is an urgent need for flood buckets and  Health Kits at Mission Central for Central US Flood Response. Hikers from FUMC-Hershey and across our conference are ready to hit the trail to raise money for the Holy Grounds Capital Campaign to improve and expand our five conference camps. The hike will be Aug. 18-20 on the West Rim Trail of the PA Grand Canyon. To sponsor a hiker, contact Pastor Rapp at 533-9668 or Larry Grunden at 838-2382. Jamaican Work Team’s Advance Trip - January 6-10, 2005 (All photos by John Biondo)

The below 156 images help to describe the current condition of the Watsonton United Methodist Chuch in Lionel Town, Jamaica in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan. Jamaican Team members from FUMC-Hershey were able to deliver over 550 lbs of needed clothing and an additional $500 in donations for the residents of Lionel Town who had suffered hardships after the storm had passed in September. God's love was guiding the team member's steps as they were able to pass 9 boxes of clothing easily through an often troublesome customs system, travel safely across the length of the island by a harrowing taxi ride, and establish and reestablish ties with new friends, old friends and loved ones.
