Messiah College Concert Handbell Choir
The Messiah College Concert Handbell Choir will present a concert at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at First United Methodist Church, 64 West Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, Pennsylvania. A free-will offering will be received.
The Concert Handbell Choir is comprised of fourteen students of varying degree pursuits. The director, Shawn Gingrich also is adjunct organ instructor on campus and works full-time in church music at First United Methodist Church, Hershey.
The program will include: Procession of Praise by Arnold Sherman (performed with organ and handbells); Grazioso by Arnold Sherman; My Spirit Be Joyful by J. S. Bach, arr. Douglas Wagner; Amazing Grace by Diane Bish, arr. Shawn Gingrich; Take Five by Paul Desmond, arr. Campanile; Fanfare of Triumph by Michael Joy; Serenity by Douglas Floyd Smith; Sherekea Usafari by Cathy Moklebust; All American Hometown Band, by Noona, arr. William Wood, and Pizzicati, by Delibes, arr. Kevin McChesney.
